Holistic Healing

At first I would like to make it clear that I do not completely understand what I do, but I understand some and do it because it works for me, as long as I take care of me and stay within love, harmony, gratitude and God. I am writing this in the hope that it provides guidance that others may use.  Using the practices I outline below, I have accessed a tremendous source of power which I have directed at my own healing of body, mind and spirit.

I usually connect with and use the power of love and God. I have also used the power and harmony of the natural world, spirits and  natural stone. To me, they all radiate loving power which I can access as long as I remove all the blocks and listen. As far as I can tell, it does not matter what image or name you use for that power. I  use God and love because they feel strongest to me.

I am 77 hears old, practice holistic healing/medicine and also go to doctors periodically.  I have not found any medical professionals who seem to understand what I do, but I have found ones that encourage me to “Keep doing what you are doing.” Medical professionals can also do specific tests and let me know about conditions I miss, which I can then address.

As a result of my practices I have been sick twice in the last 17 years. I had a cold which lasted 4-5 days and I had a case of pink-eye which lasted a week, with longer lasting effects. I have also completely healed from hypothyroidism, P.V.C.s and a heart arrhythmia, reflex-sympathetic-dystrophy and assorted burns and bruises.  I have partially recovered from cerebellar degeneration/atrophy, which I continue to work on daily — so stay tuned!

MY PRACTICES:

I take a whole-person approach, considering and maintaining love and harmony within all parts of my life, including the emotional, mental, social and spiritual.  I do this through extensive periods of quiet time, sorting time and meditation. I have also detached from many disturbing thoughts and aspects of this world.  I am “in the world but not of it”. If one or more areas of my life are disrupted (not unusual!) I admit it openly, find some way to express it and let it go.

I realize that my body, mind and spirit are all interconnected so that a disturbance in one is likely to impact the others. I also realize that we are each surrounded by what appears to be empty space, but is actually packed with different forms of energy which we can try to ignore or use for our benefit. For example, our yard is not simply regularly mowed grass, requiring fertilizing and chemical sprays.  Our yard is shaggy, largely covered with mulch and wood chips and a good home for birds and insects. That “empty space” also contains love, God and spirits!

In the past I have also practiced acupuncture, running, massage, screaming and reiki.  My object was to remove any internal blocks to free energy flow.  In the present I only use meditation.
