LOVING EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY

  It was “suggested” by my Higher Power (God) that I learn to love everything and everybody, to which my first response was “THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE!”.  I have also heard the same response when I asked various spiritual leaders, in my past.  Then, after considerable internal work, I found that the suggestion was quite possible and that it led to a great deal of self investigation and eventually a much greater sense of personal freedom. It has also been well worth the challenge and necessary for the healing work I do with other living people and spirits.

An example is/was feeling any love for Donald Trump or any other person in power expressing retaliatory anger, willingness to kill/harm, or any other decision leading to greater chaos. I realized that there was a great deal of similarity between their anger and my own irrational anger as a young child toward those in power around me. I needed a loving and understanding parental presence, not more judgement. That parental figure could lead me to a behavioral choice that would “increase the integrity of the Universe”’ I would rather be that person.

WHAT WOULD LOVE DO

During my recovery meeting today I was reminded of the simple phrase I used to ask myself frequently:” What would love do?”. The meeting was about intimacy and I have found that answering this simple question leads to more honesty, openness and intimacy.  Answering this phrase always “increases the integrity of the Universe” and it is simple and easy to remember. It is my way of asking my higher power for help.

   I) Would I do this in front of God?

   2) Is my name really on it?

   3) Will this increase the integrity of the Universe?
